Who Were Selected for The Expert's Premier League Weekly Best XI?

After every round of top-tier English matches this season, football pundit Troy Deeney will reveal his select XI and Head Coach of the Week.

Goalkeeper

Guglielmo Vicario (Spurs): Despite ending up on the losing side versus Chelsea, his teammates let him down. He was up against 18 shots, nine on target, with an expected goals of 3.36 for the visitors yet he made crucial saves. He never gave up for his side.

Defenders

Nico O'Reilly (City): This youngster is exceptional. Usually a central midfielder, he slots in brilliantly at left-back. His performance in the victory against the Cherries stood out, establishing him as a rising talent.

Gabriel (Arsenal): A persistent threat, he contributed to another clean sheet for his club. He is a nuisance from dead-ball situations, just being there was decisive in the triumph at Burnley. Rival teams are intimidated by him.

Jean-Clair Todibo (the Hammers): Included for two reasons: his team's victory and his measured, confident display. While Newcastle underperformed, he excelled on the ball and calmed things down. Following a few uncertain displays, he appears to have grown under boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham): He ignited the side in the victory over Wolves. Excellent going forward and consistent throughout the term, he has added goals to his game. Great to see him healthy and playing.

Midfielders

Moises Caicedo (the Blues): The only engine everyone agrees on. Crucial for Chelsea, he was the best ball-winner. An energizer, he pushes the team ahead. Perhaps the finest defensive mid in the game.

Declan Rice (the Gunners): Another pivotal performance against Burnley. A dominant force, he scored and shines from set-pieces. When they face lesser teams, he recovers energy and executes more attacking runs. Crucial to see him let loose.

Ryan Gravenberch (Liverpool): He pushed forward, getting a goal against a poor Aston Villa team. His ability to dictate play on and off the ball, plus his vision and challenges, rendered him key to the victory.

Forwards

Diego Gomez (the Seagulls): He scored a brace against United, and his style was graceful dribbling by defenders. Running with pace and power, he edged out fellow attacker Danny Welbeck on the day.

Erling Haaland (City): What else can be said about the machine? Every time he broke through, you expected a score. He never looked like missing. The King has returned. After summer talk about alternate forwards, the Norwegian reigns supreme. He could shatter goal tallies this season.

Rayan Cherki (City): Operating as a right winger is his ideal role. Incredibly ambidextrous, uncommon since Santi Cazorla. He can take set-pieces with both feet. A gifted footballer, he appears sharp post-recovery. His link-up with Haaland is evidently why he was signed.

Manager

Nuno Espirito Santo (West Ham): Haven't seen it, just watch his celebration the third goal against the Magpies. That shows what it means for him and the team. He knows they face challenges, but they must get through and cross the line.
